We had a wonderful experience at the lodge. A few things to note. There is no elevator in the lodge. Just a few stairs to the 2nd floor. (The ice machine is on the 2nd floor). Each room has a little sitting area inside and out. The staff was great at accommodating my needs to be on the fround floor. (Call ahead). The pool was lovely. There is a lifeguard on duty. This is also a residental neighborhood. The restaurant is AMAZING the, Nest deserves it own review! The only negative thing I experienced was asking the Golf Shop if I could rent a golf cart. I asked if they rented golf carts to Lodge guest that weren't playing golf to see the grounds. They laughed and said "no, only for golfers, sorry". I understand this policy but for some of us that medically can not get out and play golf, it would be a nice option to be able to drive the course and see the grounds. I will finish with WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! The ladies at the restaurant were enough positive energy for me to return!

Smaller than I thought. Nice cozy rooms with a nice view of the golf course. Nice decor finishing touches. I would be mindful that there are no elevators for the second floor. Did not know that booking so my friend had to carry her luggage. If that's an issue request ask for a first floor room. Checking in I was neutral about service. Small details that I noticed but most wouldn't care. Water pressure is soft & the water doesn't get very hot. I usually care for more pressure & a really hot shower. I do like that the restaurant is connected to where the rooms were. It does close early at nine (this was a Tuesday night). Also they use a lot of office white lighting which for me isn't my favorite but most wouldn't care. It's common with a lot of hotels these days. The entrance & the bathroom timer has warm lighting which I appreciated & to me elevates the experience.

Overall, we were pleased with our stay at this property. The gentleman who checked us in (Jordan) was very friendly, cordial, polite and professional. His employer is lucky to have him working there. The rooms were nicely appointed, but there was some visible wear and tear on the bed frames, and other furniture in the room. This is a small lodge, but is a nice alternative to all the local hotels in the Hampton area. It's located adjacent to their golf course, and has a private and upscale vibe. It's a bit pricey for what you get, but parking is free and plentiful, and it is in a nice and safe area. We would likely stay here again.

Lovely, quiet accommodations! Stayed several nights and loved it! The room was comfortable, spacious and beautifully decorated. All staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. The on-site restaurant is not to be missed too. Sat on patio near golf course and enjoyed a cocktail one evening. They also have hearty breakfast offerings. Overall, my stay at The Lodge exceeded expectations in every way.
